The Conway Housing Authority began in April 1967 as a public service agency, and is committed to providing excellent service to all program participants, families, and owners in the community.

Conway Housing Authority provides housing through the Public Housing and Housing Choice Voucher programs.

The Housing Authority provides housing in 258 Public Housing units, 58 Section 8 New Construction units and manages 373 Housing Choice Vouchers for area landlords. Properties are located in the City of Conway and unincorporated area of Horry County.

The mission of Housing Authority of Conway (HAC) is to assist low-income families with safe, decent, and affordable housing opportunities. We strive to achieve self-sufficiency and improve the quality of their lives. HAC creates and maintains partnerships with its clients, landlords and appropriate community agencies in order to accomplish this mission.
